Santa Cruz Pride Parade - 50 Years of Pride
SC Pride began in 1975, one of the first smaller city Pride events in the nation after New York, Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles.
Santa Cruz Pride is the largest LGBTQ+ event on the Central Coast (the third oldest annual Pride Parade and Festival celebrated in California), attracting more than 7,000 participants every year.
Our ongoing commitment is to share our stories, be visible and advocate for full equality.

Santa Cruz Open Studios 2024
“Open Studios is a self-guided tour that attracts thousands of visitors from near and far who learn about and purchase art straight from the source. Open Studios not only shines a light on the vast variety and sheer talent of visual artists in our community, it also ignites relationships, inspires conversations, and bridges gaps of understanding between art appreciators and creators, establishing connections that extend far beyond the tour.
Now in its 38th year, the Open Studios Art Tour is one of Santa Cruz County’s most anticipated annual art happenings. Each year 300+ artists throughout the county open their creative spaces to the public during the first three weekends of October.”
Open Studios are a time to experience art where it is created, meet artists, and learn about the artistic process. It is an event that brings artists and the public together.

North County*: Saturday & Sunday, Oct 5 & 6
South County**: Saturday & Sunday, Oct 12 & 13
All County: (optional) Saturday & Sunday, Oct 19 & 20
* North County includes the City of Santa Cruz, Scotts Valley, Felton, Ben Lomond, Brookdale, Boulder Creek, and Davenport
** South County includes Live Oak, Capitola, Soquel, Aptos, Freedom, Corralitos, La Selva Beach, and Watsonville.
